Announcements April 1st – April 5th

Congratulations to the boys’ tennis team for defeating Independence 6-3. Every member of the team won at least one match. Brady Digman and Ethan Strathman won both their singles and doubles matches.

 

CONGRATS TO THE BOYS’ AND GIRLS GOLF TEAMS FOR THEIR FIRST PLACE FINISHES AT THE FAWN CREEK INVITATIONAL.  KANE KOPP LED THE BOYS TEAM AND GABBY IHRIG WAS LOW FOR THE GIRLS.

 

Golf pictures have been postponed for today.  Practice will be at the Country Club.

 

A CELL PHONE has been found within the last month. If you believe it to be yours, please stop in the main office to identify.

 

JR and SR students: PROM is fast approaching (April 27)…..Tickets will be sold April 1-4 during lunch, and are $30 each. Watch for signs!! Also, After Prom will be at the YMCA at midnight, NOT at Timber Lanes!

 

SENIORS: There will be a mandatory meeting in the east (new) gym on Tuesday, April 16th during GST.  LOTS OF GRADUATION INFORMATION will be discussed, and you need to bring a pen/pencil and your laptop.

 

CAGE Members:

 

  • Pick up a point sheet from Mrs. Krum or Miss Althoff. They are due at April 5th meeting! No point sheet =  no awards!
  • If you are interested in being on the CAGE board, pick up an election sheet from Mrs. Krum or Miss Althoff and get it signed and turned in at April 5th meeting!
  • Next CAGE Meeting is this Friday, April 5th at 7:30am in Mrs. Krum’s room. Seniors have snacks! Bring election sheets and point awards sheets!
  • New York Meeting is this Thursday, April 4th in Mrs. Krum’s room at 6pm. Students going to New York need to attend with their parents if you can’t talk to Mrs. Krum or Miss Althoff. Staff going to New York should also attend!

 

 

Western Illinois Univ will be in the Counseling office on Friday April 5 at 9:45.

 

Iowa Central Community College will be in the counseling office on Monday, April  8 at 9:45.

 

Students who are interested in running for 2019-2020 Student Senate class representatives need to turn in their completed applications and petitions to Ms. Lansing or Mrs. Raker by 3:30 PM on Wednesday, April 3.

The Delwood Elementary is looking for volunteers to help with Safety Town, August 5-9 from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. We would like to have 12 volunteers. We can sign off on volunteer hours! It will be rotating with small groups of Kindergarten and 1st grade students teaching about safety. If you are interested, please email Mrs. Wiggins or stop by her room and tell Miss Miller.
