Announcements – January 27th – 31st

Just a reminder:  Do not park in college parking lot or you will be ticketed.

FCCLA and BPA are hosting their 1st Annual Chili Cook-Off on Tuesday, February 11 during basketball games.  $20 for adults to enter and $10 for students to enter. $5 per person to receive cups to sample five (5) kinds of chili. 

 

Indoor hitting for golf will be on Thursday, January 30 from 3:30 – 4:30.  Sign up if you plan on attending.

 

Attention Seniors:  Jostens will be at school on Friday January 31st during lunch to deliver your graduation items.  THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE CAPS/GOWNS! Please remember that your balance must be paid in full in order to pick up your items.  Please note that Jostens only accepts cash at school on Friday. If you would like to pay by credit card, please call 1-800-JOSTENS (567-8367)

If you would like to know if you still have a balance due, please call Jostens.

 

Student senate members will host an all-school recognition assembly on Tuesday, February 4 during GST. The purpose of the assembly is to recognize all winter sports and any clubs. Please plan ahead with your homework since you won’t have GST this day.

 

Musical auditions for “State Fair” are this week. Sign-ups are on the bulletin board outside the choir room. If you can’t make an audition time this week, see Mr. Hagen to set up a different time. This is a fun show that celebrates the Iowa State Fair. There are many speaking roles as well as singing roles, so stop by and check it out. See Mr. Hagen if you have any questions. 

 

Iowa Central Community College will be in the counseling office on Thurs Feb 6 at 9:45.  Sign up in the counseling office or on Flexi-Sched.

 

Upper Iowa University Trap Shooting Coach will be in the counseling office on Thurs Feb 6 at 9:45 to talk to trap shooting members about  their new team at the University. Sign up in the counseling office.

 

Congrats to the students that competed at Large Group Districts last Saturday! We have two groups going to state in two weeks.

Large Groups moving to state should sign up to rehearse at LEAST once each week! 

 

Sign ups for individual speech are outside of Mrs. Gaul’s room. Read the descriptions, and sign up for one to two categories that interest you! Then sign up for rehearsal with Mrs. Gaul to find pieces to use! Mrs. Gaul needs titles and authors of individual pieces by Wed. Feb 5th to submit to WaMAC and Districts!
