Attention nature enthusiasts!!
There is an opportunity for students who are interested in learning more about prairie ecology, helping conduct plant surveys, and possibly some woody/invasive plant removal. The participating students will need to participate in 4, four hour work days with Tony Vorwald from Jackson County Conservation out on our county managed remnant prairies. The students will receive a small stipend for their effort, $8 an hour. They will also receive a tallgrass prairie ID guidebook.
Tony is looking for about 6 students who might be interested in this project. He is flexible on when the work days are conducted but they need to be completed by the end of August.
You can also talk to Mr. Becker, Mrs. Gaul, or Mrs. Quinlan if you are interested.
