Announcements March 4th – 8th

9th-11th Grade Students must bring their laptops to GST on Wednesday, March 6.  Wednesday will be a homebase day to prepare for Spring Testing.  

The golf teams are still looking for new members to join the team.  Practice starts March 11. See Mrs. Taylor.

Parent Teacher Conferences next week.  Wednesday 1-6pm. Thursday 1-8pm. Students will be dismissed at 12:30pm. Friday No School!

This year’s spring dance will be a SPRING FLING! It will be on Saturday, March 23 from 8pm to 11pm in the cafeteria. Bring a date, bring a friend, bring yourself for a fun night! Tickets will be sold during lunch the week of the dance for $5 a person.

Deadline to register for ACT is Friday, March 8  for the Saturday, April 13 testing which will be held here at MHS.

St. Ambrose Univ will be in the counseling office on Thursday, March 7 at 9:45.

Kirkwood Community College will be in the library on Monday, March 11 at 9:45.

Dubuque College Fair will be held Tuesday, March 12 from 5:30 – 7:30 at the University of Dubuque in Chlapaty Recreation and Wellness Center.  This is a great chance to meet with many college representatives and get first hand information about the colleges that you are interested in or discover a college that you have not yet explored.  Pre-register at www.gotocollegefairs.com to avoid filling out information requests for each college that interest you.

JR and SR students: PROM is fast approaching (April 27)…..Tickets will be sold April 1-4 during lunch. Watch for signs!!

ATTN Students and Staff: In honor of Respect Week, please visit the Unified Partners and Special Olympics athletes on Tuesday during lunch in the cafeteria to sign the “Pledge to Respect” banner.

Join CAGE for a speech and pasta night POSTPONED until Tuesday, March 12th. Pasta will be served at 6pm in the high school cafeteria, with large group and individual speech performances at 7pm in the LMC. It is a free will donation. Come watch some amazing speeches!

Students advancing to State Individuals need to rehearse with Mrs. Krum or Miss Althoff TWICE this week! Sign up outside of their doors!

Football players:  Leadership Council applications are due this week.  Some athletes need to complete post season evaluation with Coach Bowman.  U of Dubuque camp forms are available. OL/DL on April 7 & 14; Backs/receivers on March 24 & 31.
