Announcements May 21 -25

ALL LOCKERS must be cleaned out during GST on Thursday.  PLEASE take items such as pens, pencils, notebooks, loose leaf paper, binders, etc. that are in good shape to a teacher or the office.

SENIOR LOCKER sign up for the 2018-2019 school year is now available in the front office! Sign up for a CHANCE (*no guarantees!) to get one of the ‘senior lockers’ in the front hall. Mr. Vervaecke will then do a random drawing of 18 names to assign! GOOD LUCK!

Track uniforms need to be turned in ASAP, if not turned in by the end of the week you will receive a fine. (VERY EXPENSIVE)

Fourth request:  Golf bags, jackets and range finders need to be turned into Mrs. Taylor at 1:30 today in the new gym

Congratulations to the Girls’ Golf team on qualifying for the State Tournament.  Taylor Thede, Carlene Paul, Karysa Carson, Hannah Gilson, Gabby Ihrig and Natalie Ehlinger will represent Maquoketa on Tuesday and Wednesday next week in Ames.

If any students would be interested, this years theme for the Voice Of Democracy essay contest from the VFW is “WHY MY VOTE MATTERS”. The contest is open to all incoming Freshmen- Seniors. By announcing the themes early, the  hope is to give the students extra time to think about it and make writing their essays easier. Lowell Schroeder will be in contact again in the fall with more information.

FFA members and Officers, make sure you have all FFA equipment, Clothing, and any other borrowed items back to Mr. Lansing BY WEDNESDAY!
