Announcements May 3rd – 7th

SENIOR COOKOUT – THURSDAY, MAY 6TH

Jackson County Cattlemen grilling cheese burgers and hotdogs.  Other items on the menu include:  potato chips, baked beans, homestyle creamy coleslaw, homestyle broccoli and bacon salad, zesty pasta salad and a carnival cookie.  Plus our regular menu for the day.  

SENIORS: Baccalaureate will be held on Wednesday, May 12th at 7 PM at the Ohnward Fine Arts Center. Pastor Neil Harrison will be having planning meetings here at the High School during GST on Tuesday, April 27 and again on Tuesday, May 4.

Congratulations to the following students who will serve as 2021-2022 student senate class representatives:

Sophomore class: Alaina Bahl, Anastasia DeForest, and Isabelle Yoder

Volunteers still needed to help this Saturday, May 8th, outside from 10-12pm.  We will be playing games and helping with Miles for Maizie fundraiser.  Meet at the YMCA.  If interested, please contact Tara 563-599-2010.

Dance Marathon – Saturday, May 15th from 5-10pm outside at the high school. If you are interested in helping, please contact Tara 563-599-2010.  If you ordered a shirt last year, it will be ready for the Big Event.  Look for posters with names of each team.  More details to come.

Congratulations to the boys’ tennis team for winning the Clinton Invitational Tournament on Saturday. This was the first time in history that Maquoketa won this tournament. It was a team effort.

In singles, second place medal winners included Brady Digmann and Grant Michel.

Kaleb Whaley won a first place medal in his division.

In doubles, Grant Michel and Brandon Skladzien won second place medals. Kaleb Whaley and Logan Skladzien won first place medals in their division.
