Announcements Oct. 1 – 5

The MACnificent Cafe announces new flavors and new items for fall!! Try our new Latte and Frappe flavors: Cake Batter, New York Cheesecake, and Pumpkin Spice. Pair them with our new cake in a cup! Chocolate Chip cookie, caramel cake, blueberry muffin, or cinnamon coffee cake! Yum! All for a Dollar!

 

A local agency has winter coats to distribute to those in need.  Email Mrs. Horner or Mrs. Taylor with the size you need.

 

SCHOOL PICTURES ARE IN! Please stop in the office to pick them up. Some of you who may not have ordered may still have a ‘proof’ copy to pick up, so please be sure to check!

 

C.A.G.E. monthly meeting is Friday, October 5th at 7:30 am in Mrs. Krum’s room (214). Seniors have snacks. We will be discussing the fall play and committees to help make the show a success. If you can’t make it, please talk to Mrs. Krum (214) or Miss Althoff (206).

 

CAGE has volleyball concession stand on Tuesday, October 2nd at 4:30. Sign up outside of Mrs. Krum’s door. Money raised helps with New York trip.

Football Skills Challenge (formly Punt Pass and Kick) hosted by the Maquoketa Kiwanis is Thursday, Oct 4th.  Registration forms available in the office.

 

Support the Athletic Booster Club with “The First Ever Cardinal Pie in the Face Fundraiser”.  Pies will be thrown at the start of the Homecoming Varsity Football game. Tickets are $1.00 each or 15 for $10.00.  Faces include Mr. Gruenwald, Mr. Vervaecke, Senator Tod Bowman, Ms. Lanham, Mrs. Orris, Bob Gavin, Coach Doepke, Coach Hartman, Mr. Mangler and Superintendent Mr. Hoover.  Top 3 faces will get pied at the game. Tickets will be sold at home games or during during lunch this week.

 

If you want professional pictures done at the Homecoming dance, the picture order forms for Siebe Studio are in the office. Please bring your payments the night of the dance.

 

Out-of-town guest forms for the Homecoming dance are due by Tuesday, October 2 to Mrs. Raker or Ms. Lansing.

 

All students (grades 9-12) will be able to vote for Homecoming King and Queen during lunch on Tuesday, October 2.

 

Judging for Homecoming dress up days will be on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this week at 10:15 in the cafeteria/commons. Only students who are participating in the dress up day will be able to attend the judging.

 

Homecoming shirts are in. These can be picked up in room 110 after school today. Please do not stop in before 3:20.
