Parent Teacher Conferences next week. Wednesday from 1-6. Thursday 1-8. Friday No School! Students will be dismissed at 12:30pm.

PICTURE RETAKES are TOMORROW! First thing in the morning, in the Commons area. Be sure to have your order form (available in the office) or previous pictures to turn in.
The Maquoketa High School Vocal Concert will be tomorrow night, Tuesday, at 7:30PM at First Lutheran Church. Come before the concert to enjoy our Chik-fil-A Fundraiser meal. Get a Chik-fil-A chicken sandwich, chips, pop, and dessert for only $7. Proceeds go to help fund the Vocal Department. Meal is 5:30 to 7:30, Concert is at 7:30PM.
High School Bowling SIGN UP & PARENT MEETING will be on Wednesday, October 24th beginning at 7 PM at the Timber Center. Any questions, please call 563-652-5882.
Maquoketa Athletic Boosters Basketball Tournament Fundraiser
Girls: November 3rd
Boys: November 10th & 11th
High School Athlete’s the Maquoketa Athletic Boosters need your help! The money raised at these two tournaments will help the Booster Club supply all uniforms and other necessary equipment for each and every sport in grades 7-12. In addition to working a shift at one of these tournaments, we are requesting donations from every member of each athletic team in the Middle School & High School. These donations will be used at all 3 tournament dates, where we will host approximately 90 teams. It is important to have these donations by the date listed, so volunteers can shop for items that are still needed.
Please donate one item PER SPORT that you have an athlete participating in:
If you have a multiple sport athlete and you love to bake:
feel free to make your donations all baked goods!
Fall Sports (all levels) Football, Volleyball, Cross Country & Cheer:
One – 8pk of (Blue, Red) 20 ounce bottles of Gatorade or PowerAde. All beverage donations should be dropped off in the High School office on or before Tuesday, October 30th.
Winter Sports (all levels) Basketball (Boys and Girls), Wrestling, Bowling & Dance:
One – 6pk of 16.9 ounce bottles of Mountain Dew, Diet Mountain Dew, Pepsi or Diet Pepsi. All beverage donations should be dropped off in the High School office on or before Tuesday, October 30th.
Spring Sports (all levels: Boys and Girls) Track, Soccer, Tennis, & Golf:
A dozen Scotch-a-Roos or Puppy Chow. Scotch-a-Roos: Please make one 9X13 pan cut into 12 pieces and individually wrapped. Puppy Chow: Please donate 12 sandwich bags with 1½ Cups in each bag. Drop off on Friday, November 2nd to be divided up between Tournaments. We will be at the High School from 3:30–5:30 to accept baked goods.
Summer Sports (all levels) Softball & Baseball:
A dozen Scotch-a-Roos or Puppy Chow. Scotch-a-Roos: Please make one 9X13 pan cut into 12 pieces and individually wrapped. Puppy Chow: Please make 12 sandwich bags filled with 1½ Cups in each bag. Maquoketa Athletic Boosters
Ohnward Fine Arts Center is hosting a Kids Only Variety Show on December 1st: We are looking for acts from kids up to 18 years of age. Acts should be between 3 to 5 minutes in length and can consist of individuals or groups of any age. Performers/acts do not need to be from Jackson County. We are looking for a true variety of acts which could include singers, dancers, musicians, comedy acts/skits, magic acts, jugglers, kazoo players…whatever your special talent may be.

Oct 30th. MCC will be in the Ag Room for GST to discuss programs offered to Maquoketa Students after graduation. Sign up in Mr. Lansing Room to have him request you for GST, or request him in flexisched.
Attention all lovers of and trivia. It is that time of year again to be revving up the lightning fast buzzer fingers and bringing the files of unconventional knowledge to the forefronts of your brains. Yes, it is time to assemble the infamous MHS Quiz Bowl Team. We will be participating in a competition at Clinton Community College. If you are interested in being part of the Quiz Bowl team please stop in the School Counseling Office and talk to Mrs. DeWulf or email her at adewulf@maquoketaschools.info by Friday, October 26th.
