Announcements – Oct. 29 – Nov 1

 For those interested in participating in wrestling… Coach Feller will be having a body composition testing meeting in the multipurpose room Thursday, October 31st at the beginning of GST. Additionally, if you have not completed your baseline concussion testing, sign-up with Bree in the training room after school to get this taken care of before the season starts.

 

A reminder that football gear turn in is on Thursday, October 31st after school.  Please wash ALL items. Must have your gear in exchange for your DQ Blizzard.

BPA (Business Club) meeting on Monday, Nov. 4 at 7:45 am in room 202. Juniors are in charge of bringing snacks.

There will be a boys basketball meeting Friday during GST in room 205 (Mr. Hartman’s room) for any boy interested in playing this year.

THE FOLLOWING STUDENTS need to see Denise in the main office: Christian Brewster, Megan Hayward, James Meisland, Abe Michel, Micheal Richard, Jack Thines, Nick VanHecke.

 

Univ of Wis – Platteville will be in the Counseling Office on Thurs Oct 31 at 10:00

 

Iowa Central Community College Trap Shooting Coach will be in the Counseling Office on Thurs Oct 31 at 12:30.

 

Augustana College will be in the Counseling Office on Tues Nov 5 at 9:45

 

Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) will be in the Counseling Office on Fri, Nov 8 at 9:45.

 

Spanish Club has decorated the school with “calaveras” (sugar skulls)! If you find one, answer the question on the back, sign your name and bring it to Mrs. Henneman’s room (403) to be entered into a drawing for a prize! ¡Feliz día de los muertos!

 

Student Senate is sponsoring a Halloween dress up day on Thursday, October 31. Be sure to wear a costume that is appropriate and masks will not be allowed. Judging will take place during GST.

Are you interested in the environment? On Wednesday 10/30 during GST, come to Mrs. Quinlan’s room (404). The Hurstville Center is interested in helping our High School students who are interested in some type of environmental club to get one started! Come and share your ideas and interests with the group! Everyone is welcome!! If you have any questions, see Mrs. Quinlan.

CAGE Rehearsals (If you need a ride, talk to Mrs. Gaul)

Wed. Oct. 30th: Painting set, working on props and costumes 4pm to 6pm AT OHNWARD

Thurs. Oct 31st: Painting Set, working on props 4pm to 7pm AT OHNWARD

Fri, Nov. 1st: Full Show, No Scripts with Props 5pm to ?? AT OHNWARD

Props still needed for fall play:

2 “butcher” knives, Men’s wrist watch (Doesn’t need to work), Bar Cart, Black Book- that can be glued and cut, Purple Beret, 2 Large Candle Sticks, Large Pepper Grinder, Big Fake Plant in Pot, Two stuffed animal cats

CAGE Meeting on Friday, Nov. 1st at 7:30am in Mrs. Gaul’s room (206). Sophomores and Freshman have snacks! You MUST attend if you are in/participating with the fall play! Will be discussing the play and speech season. Let Mrs. Gaul know if you can’t make it!

Any High School students with an open block that is interested in helping in the middle school halloween science fun on Thursday, Oct. 31st, talk to Mrs. Gaul in room 206!
