ACTIVITY PASSES – Students, if you purchased an activity pass, they are available in the main office.

The homecoming football game will take place on Friday, September 25. Student senate is finalizing homecoming plans and those will be advertised soon. 

Homecoming dress up days

Monday, September 21 – ‘Merica Monday (dress in red, white, and blue)

Tuesday, September 22 – Mismatch Day

Wednesday, September 23 – Class Color Day (9th grade-red, 10th grade-blue, 11th-white, 12th-black, staff-gray, community-purple)

Thursday, September 24 – Spirit Day

Friday, September 25 (virtual dress up day) – PJ Day

Students and staff will not gather for dress up day judging this year. If you want to be judged, please email your picture to Mrs. Raker (araker@maquoketaschools.info) by 1:00 PM each day with your picture for that day.

Seniors can nominate 8 boys and 8 girls from their class for homecoming court. The nomination form was sent through email to all seniors and it must be completed by Thursday, September 17 at midnight in order for your nomination to count. Please contact Mrs. Raker if you have any questions.

All students in grades 9-12 will be able to vote for the 2020 homecoming king and queen through email next week. The king and queen will be crowned prior to the warm-up of the varsity football game on Friday, September 25.

CAGE will be meeting every Wednesday in the high school commons from 4:00pm-5:30pm. We welcome actors, tech, backstage, and everyone in between!

University of Northern Iowa will be holding a Zoom presentation on Tuesday, September 22 at 9:50.  Sign up sheet is in the Counseling Office to have the link emailed to you or email Mrs. Yarolim that you are interested in joining the Zoom presentation.

Upcoming FFA Events.  Please let Mr. Lansing or Ms. Miller know if you are interested.   Poultry, Soils, Ag Marketing, Vet Science, Beef Extravaganza, and more!  Freshmen Greenhand Fire-Up will be held as well for any new members.  Please reach out to us so that you can prepare and your team can possibly earn scholarships, $$$ and more!
