Announcements Sept. 16-20

 

Golfers need to see Mrs. Taylor this week to discuss the Homecoming Auction Basket that needs to be created.

 

Volleyball plays in DeWitt tonight!! Please come support the team if you are able to!

 

Girls soccer meeting October 14th during GST is the west gym.  All girls interested please attend meeting.  

 

The Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center will be hosting a blood drive in the old gym on Thursday September 19 from 9:00-1:00.  You can register to donate in the nurse’s office before, or wait and sign up the day of.

 

There will be an FCCLA Meeting on Thursday, September 19 at 7:30 am in Room 203 FCS. 

 

CLUE Auditions: 

Auditions will be held THIS week, 

Wednesday, Sept. 18th 3:45pm – 6pm

If you need another time, talk to Miss Althoff

Call backs Thurs. Sept. 19th and cast list posting on the 20th. Sign up for an audition slot outside of Miss Althoff’s room! Stop in to get a script to read through beforehand! You must have your dues paid to be cast in a part!

Dues to join CAGE are due by October 1st!!

 

CAGE has volleyball concessions on:

Tuesday, Sept. 24th at 5pm

Thursday, Oct. 3rd at 5pm

EVERY CAGE member should work at concessions! Sign up outside of Miss Althoff’s room (206). 

 

Maquoketa Kiwanis SKILLS CHALLENGE will be on Thursday, October 3rd beginning at 7 PM. This event is for boys and girls ages 6-15, and will be held at Goodenow Field. Interested participants may stop in the office for an entry form.

 

Clinton, Scott, Muscatine College representative will be in the counseling office on Wednesday, Sept 25 at 9:45.

 

St Ambrose representative will be in the Counseling Office on Friday Sept 26 at 9:45.

 

  Don’t miss out on the chance to vote for the Maquoketa Athletic Booster’s Homecoming PIE IN THE FACE FUNDRAISER!

   You can vote for Mayor Don Schwenker, Officer Scott Hansen, Coach & Teacher Sammy Scar, Super Fan Dan Dague, Seniors Sydney Clark & Roy Gerlach, Middle School teacher Cassie Burns, and DOC KOOB

   You can vote as many times and for as many faces as you want!
  Tickets to vote are $1 each.

   For every $10 you donate, your name will be put in the drawing to be one of the PIE THROWERS!

   The top 2 faces will receive a pie during half-time of the boys Fresh-Soph game on Homecoming night, Friday, October 4th.

   PLEASE BE GENEROUS WHEN VOTING!

   ALL money raised by the Athletic Boosters goes to purchasing equipment and uniforms for our MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC PROGRAMS.

   The Athletic Boosters will also be selling tickets up through the start of the Fresh-Soph game. Tickets will be sold during the home volleyball and football games, as well as during lunch the week of Homecoming festivities!

 

There is a sign-up sheet in the office for any girls who would like to participate in powderpuff football on Monday, September 30 at 6:00 PM. Girls should sign-up by grade level.

 

Students can pick up Homecoming Olympics entry forms in the office. Turn in your completed entries to Mrs. Raker by 3:30 PM on Friday, September 20.

 

Cross country has 2 meets this week, today @ Scott County Park, first race is at 3:50-Middle School, 4:45-High School, and Thursday @ Cascade, first race again at 4:30. Come support your team!

 

 Maquoketa FFA hosting AG Safety day will be Thursday Sept 19th. Students please get all work before thursday!  Teachers please talk to all students about what they will miss.
