Track practice starts next Tuesday, Feb. 18th. Meet after school in the lounge area. 

Attention Golfers!  Open hitting will be held on Tuesday Feb 11 and Thursday, Feb 13 in the Green Space from 3:30 – 4:30.  Sign up if you plan on attending. Also if you are interested in applying for the Student Golf Scholarship see Mrs. Taylor.  This is a one year junior membership to the Maquoketa Country Club.

The next Environment Club meeting is this Thursday after school. We are going hiking at Prairie Creek. Meet in Room 404 or meet us at the park! All are welcome!

Girls soccer parent/player meeting Monday, March 16th at 6 in the cafeteria!

Kirkwood Community College will be in the counseling office on Tues Feb 11 at 9:30.  Sign up in the counseling office.

Friday, February 14 is the day for the annual Hush Heart activity that is sponsored by student senate. Hush Heart necklaces are given to the girls who want them when they enter school at the main entrance or at the lower doors. Girls’ Hush Hearts are taken if they talk to any boys in the hallway or during lunch. They can talk to the boys during class. 

Chamber Choir is still selling Singing Valentines to be delivered this Friday. If you wish to purchase a singing valentine, please fill out the following form, or see Mr. Hagen for details.  No orders will be taken after Wednesday, Feb. 12th.

Spanish club is hosting the annual Ties & Tiaras Father-Daughter Dance this Saturday, February 15th from 1-4pm at AmericInn in Maquoketa. Girls 6th grade and younger and their father figures are all welcome! Tickets are $20 a couple in advance and $25 at the door. 

The Sadie Hawkins Dance will be on March 7th from 8-11pm in the cafeteria. Tickets are $5 and will be sold during lunches the week of the dance!

CAGE: Students participating in individual speech need to sign up for rehearsals AT LEAST ONCE per week with Mrs. Gaul. The schedules for the next 3 weeks are outside of Mrs. Gaul’s room. Not many days before WaMAC or Districts!!

Mrs. Gaul needs titles and authors of pieces individual speech students will be performing today, MONDAY, Feb. 10th!!

Get a BLUE SHEET from Mrs. Gaul for WaMAC Individuals on Monday, Feb.24th, it’s an A day! We are leaving at 2pm, just missing 4th block! Get it returned to Mrs. Gaul by Friday, Feb 14th!
