Maquoketa Community School District Announces
Finalists for Superintendent Interviews
Maquoketa, Iowa – The Maquoketa Community School District Board of Education is pleased to announce that they have selected three candidates to interview for their superintendent vacancy. The candidates selected for interviews are:
- Brett Abbotts from Council Bluffs, IA
- Tara Notz from Maquoketa, IA
- Mark Taylor from Burlington, IA
Interviews are scheduled to be conducted on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Numerous stakeholder groups will have the opportunity to meet the final candidates and submit input to the board about each of them. The board expects to make their selection by Friday, March 11, 2022.
Maquoketa Community School District retained the services of McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C. to assist in conducting their search. The consultants reviewed, screened, and conducted extensive background checks on 19 applicants. On Monday, February 28, 2022, the consultants presented the applicants to the Board of Education and provided them detailed background information on each applicant. The board selected four candidates as semi-finalists, who were interviewed on Saturday, March 5, 2022.
