High School

Principal

Welcome to Maquoketa Community High School, home of the Cardinals! We offer over 150 courses; a wide variety of athletic, musical, dramatic, and extracurricular opportunities; and a staff of dedicated professionals. We are eager to develop our young people and provide direction for their lives while they are attending our school.

Because of the ever-changing needs of our students, we are constantly looking for ways to improve instruction. We want our students to continue their education after they graduate and to perform well in college, universities, and technical schools. We strive to support student efforts in every way we possibly can.

Maquoketa High School is proud of its tradition in education. It is our goal to prepare students for the challenges that lie ahead in their lives. It is our privilege to serve the students of our community.

Once again, welcome to Maquoketa Community High School. Go Cardinals!!

Assistant Principal

My name is Jenny Nabb and I am so excited to serve the students, families and staff of the Maquoketa School District as the Assistant Principal at Maquoketa High School. I have a long history with MHS as I  began my career here as an Ag Instructor and FFA Advisor over twenty years ago. My classroom experiences also include Biology and Introduction to Engineering Design. Most recently, I have been collaborating with staff as an Instructional Coach.

My husband Brian and I have two sons, Noah and Jacob. Noah is our oldest and is a recent MHS graduate so we are navigating the excitement and challenges with having a child in college. Jacob keeps us busy with his many hobbies and activities. We have a small herd of sheep that our kids show for 4-H and FFA. Our family enjoys golfing and spending time outside. In my free time, I love to  read or spend time with friends and family.

Maquoketa High School is a great place to learn and grow.  I am so proud of the many opportunities that our students have and of the commitment and dedication of our staff. I look forward to partnering with you to help support our school community.
